Here are my instructions for embedding a you tube video. Love from Mrs Hallinan.
Go to our wiki and click 'edit.' A tool bar will appear at the top.
One icon is for embedding widgets and that is the one you need! (Its under the word 'editor' and it looks like a blue box.
Click on it and a new box will open with a list of 'widgets' to choose from.
Click on the word 'video' then it will open a series of video links -one of which is to youtube!
Click on that and you will have an opportunity to paste in the link you have to the youtube video you want to use. (Remember I explained at school that you must first go to the video you want, go the the information to the right of it and COPY the 'embed' address NOT the URL address. )
When you have pasted the 'embed' address, remember to click 'save.' It should then appear on our wiki and you can make it smaller or move it or whatever you want! Linking your page so that it appears in the navigation bar!
You can do this by following these instructions....
1. Click 'new page' in navigation bar. You will be given a new blank page to name and you then can begin typing etc. Click save then go to 'edit navigation.
2. You will see a page that has page titles listed on it. Type in the title of your page, highlight it, then click on the 'link' icon on the task bar.
3. An 'insert link' box will appear. Click on 'choose an existing page'. Click on the drop down beside page name and scroll down to where your page name appears and click enter. Click 'add link' then click 'save.' Hopefully it should appear on the navigaton bar! How to use Windows Movie Maker!
